Traditional Toys: still popular after all these years
Old-fashioned toys are one of my favorite things. Especially around the holidays, these simple and traditional toys and games begin to glow with an inner light that I like to think of as the spirit of Christmas.
Teddy bears, wooden rocking horses, and other simple toys made the old fashioned way are so much more than a child’s distraction. In fact, these timeless toys are still on the market because they are effective learning tools. It’s hard to say that for the latest electronic gizmo that’s being hyped at the big box stores.
If you are a parent looking for more than a quick fix for your child’s grabby attention span, reconsider the classic and traditional toys that made an impression on your own childhood. This is the key to unlocking the imagination and joy in your child’s heart.
