EMS Or Electrical Muscle Stimulation

EMS, electrical muscle stimulation, is used in medicine quite often, especially by physiotherapists for sports injuries. It is also common in rehabilitation after surgery or accidents to prevent muscle atrophy. It works by engaging the brain to send information along the nerve endings, resulting in involuntary flexes by the muscles.
