Fecal Impaction: A Potential Cause Of Bloody Constipation

A fecal impaction is another potential cause of bloody constipation because it is basically a blockage which does not allow any more waste beyond it. A fecal impaction will cause the feces to dry up and harden as time goes on so that there will come a point when no new waste will pass beyond the blockage. Despite a growing urge to have a bowel movement, a person will strain harder and harder to get less and less waste evacuated. The persistent straining causes the anus veins to swell and burst and bloody constipation is the result.
