The Medicare Advantage program works very well for pre-existing conditions although a special needs plan might be more useful in certain situations. You and an advisor should be able to come up with the appropriate coupling of plans here. Some people are fortunate in not needing to go to their doctor for more than a check-up or the occasional illness. Medicare Advantage is not the ideal plan for them. For more information about Medicare Advantage, you would be able to find pertinent information at http://www.medicare.gov/Choices/Advantage.asp.
