A rigid borescope aided in my diagnosis.

I had been having terrible pelvic pain, and my menstrual cycles were not regular. I scheduled an appointment with my gunecologist. He examined me, but could not determine the cause of my symptoms. He suggested endoscopic surgery. A rigid borescope, called an endoscope was placed into my abdominal cavity through my navel. From this, my doctor was able to make a diagnosis. I had endometriosis. I was treated for the condition, and I soon began to feel much better. My menstrual cycles returned to normal, and the pain associated with the condition went away.
